Latin American Market at Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024
A series of leading retailers from the Latin American region will be arriving at Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 to seek Vietnamese suppliers, opening up great opportunities for domestic businesses.
The "Connecting the International Goods Supply Chain" event (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024), jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, will take place from June 6th to 8th at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.
With a market size of 670 million people, a GDP of 6,500 billion USD, and an import demand of nearly 1,500 billion USD, Latin America is a potential market for Vietnamese goods.
Many Latin American retail giants have registered to attend Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 with the expectation of purchasing a large quantity of diverse goods.
Falabella, the largest retailer in Latin America with 577 stores and shopping malls, wishes to expand its procurement of textiles, footwear, sportswear, and home appliances from Vietnam. Last year, Falabella found a partner to supply apparel and sports equipment in Vietnam, bringing "made in Vietnam" products to 35 million customers.

Coppel Group (Mexico) has an annual demand to import 500,000 car tires and is also interested in Vietnamese fashion items, footwear, technology accessories, and household goods. Latiquim C.A (Venezuela), a leading chemical company, is looking to find Vietnamese partners to supply sulfonic acid and phosphoric acid. Walmart will also participate in Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024, focusing on purchasing textiles, footwear, furniture, household goods, toys, and frozen food.
The event not only attracts Latin American retailers but also sees the participation of many other large corporations such as Aeon, Uniqlo, Amazon, Carrefour, Central Group, IKEA, and Lulu. Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 is a golden opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to connect and cooperate with international buyers, expand export markets, and enhance their position in the international arena.
