Promoting and introducing OCOP products in My Duc
On the evening of January 19, the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion chaired and coordinated with the People's Committee of My Duc district and relevant agencies and units to organize a trade fair and introduce OCOP products in My Duc district.

The fair is a special highlight event to celebrate My Duc district achieving the New Rural standard in 2022 and receiving the First Class Labor Medal.
The fair brings together over 100 enterprises, cooperatives, OCOP entities from 26 provinces/cities and localities nationwide to display and introduce products such as Cao Bang, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen, Nghe An, Lam Dong, Quang Nam, Dong Nai, Bac Ninh, Ha Tinh, Hoa Binh, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Son La, Binh Thuan, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi city.
With a scale of about 100 booths, over 1,000 product lines will be displayed and introduced such as agricultural products, typical OCOP products, regional specialties of localities; processed products, green agricultural products, high-tech applications, traditional craft village products of Hanoi and other provinces and cities. Products displayed and sold are clearly priced, have labels, packaging, and clear traceability, prioritizing products with export potential and beautiful packaging designs.
In addition to product display, introduction, and sales activities, there are also promotional activities, connections, and on-site product processing and trial; demonstration activities, ethnic cultural exchanges, art performances, local music and dance, etc.
In addition to organizing booths, the Organizing Committee will arrange agricultural miniature models associated with tourism and models and miniatures associated with the theme of welcoming the new year 2024 to serve the entertainment, shopping, and check-in needs of visitors.

Mr. Le Van Trang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My Duc district, said that in the district, there are 44 OCOP products certified by the City with 3 stars or more, including 1 5-star product (of My Duc Mulberry and Silk Company Limited), 2 potential 5-star products, 21 products with 4 stars; 20 products with 3 stars); 6 craft villages are recognized by the City,... In addition, there are typical products such as: Rau sang Chua Huong, Mo Huong Tich, Mo Huong Tich wine, Cu yam cake...
The program is organized as a very timely encouragement to promote trade promotion programs, introduce OCOP products of My Duc district in particular, Hanoi city in general with neighboring provinces in the country, in order to contribute to expanding the market, creating momentum for development in all fields of economy, politics, society; create conditions for businesses, economic organizations and craft villages to promptly grasp opportunities to exchange, promote brands, introduce products, joint ventures, associations, investments, exploit all potentials and strengths in line with the development trend of the District, City and the country. Stimulate domestic consumption, increase total retail sales of goods and services, serve the shopping and experience needs of people and tourists.
Speaking at the fair, Mr. Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of HPA, the event is an opportunity for participating units to widely promote brands, enhance product value, contribute to preserving traditional craft villages, rural community spaces and products of natural origin; preserve local cultural and tourism traditions.
Along with that, promote trade and product consumption; increase the production value of the agricultural sector, contributing to the socio-economic development of Hanoi and other provinces and cities.
"I believe that the Fair will be a good opportunity for the government and people of My Duc district to promote the potentials and strengths of the local economy, tourism, and traditional culture to tourists, continuing to promote the precious traditions of the homeland in the period of promoting industrialization, modernization and international integration, contributing to building a civilized, modern and cultural capital," said Mr. Bui Duy Quang.
The organization of the Fair also aims to promote and introduce the culture of the land and people of My Duc; promote the development of craft village tourism and spiritual tourism in the district; Create a highlight to stimulate safe shopping at the end of the year and prepare to welcome the spring of Giap Thin 2024, contributing to effectively implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
The Fair takes place for 4 days, from January 18-21, 2024.
