Opening of Fruit and Agricultural Products Week of provinces and cities in 2024
On the evening of October 2, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade chaired and coordinated with the People's Committee of Dong Da district to organize the opening ceremony of the Fruit and Agricultural Products Week of provinces and cities in 2024.

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen The Hiep said that the Week of Goods with a scale of 70 booths, with the participation of about 50 units, enterprises, cooperatives of Hanoi and 15 provinces such as: Hung Yen, Son La, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong... to promote and connect the consumption of fruit products, seasonal agricultural products, regional specialties, OCOP products...
At the same time, support businesses and cooperatives to consume products, effectively stimulate consumption, increase the total retail sales of the City, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

With the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", the Department of Industry and Trade has deployed support for businesses and units of provinces and cities such as participating in trade, connecting products of Can Tho, Lam Dong, Tra Vinh provinces...; informing and introducing seasonal products, OCOP of over 20 provinces that have requested consumption support; implementing fairs, fruit and agricultural product weeks in Hanoi; supporting Hanoi businesses to participate in promoting products at fairs and exhibitions of provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Kon Tum...; connecting sources of goods from Lam Dong, Dong Nai provinces... to promptly bring them to Hanoi to ensure supply to cope with the flooding situation after storm No. 3...
From there, it is affirmed that the source of goods from provinces and cities to Hanoi is always diverse, abundant, ready to be brought to the Hanoi market to serve the capital's consumers, with a population of about 11 million people living, studying, and working in all cases, ensuring supply and demand of goods, stabilizing the market.

In addition, Hanoi units have identified that Hanoi consumers prefer specialty products with clear origin, brand names, geographical indications, good quality, and are willing to accept higher prices than similar products on the market, which is an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to promote brand building, promotion, and product introduction.
The Department of Industry and Trade organizes the Fruit and Agricultural Products Week in provinces and cities in 2024 with practical significance to contribute to stimulating domestic consumption, increasing total retail sales, stabilizing the market, connecting products to serve unexpected tasks and incidents; honoring Vietnamese products, promoting production and consumption of domestic goods according to Directive 29/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister;
At the same time, promote product connection, develop traditional trade, e-commerce for agricultural products, fruits, OCOP products; introduce and connect products of Hanoi and other provinces to OCOP points, agents in Dong Da district; accompany and support enterprises and cooperatives of Hanoi and other provinces and cities to promote and connect product consumption in the Hanoi market; help consumers in the capital recognize and have more choices to consume quality products at reasonable prices, promoting the spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance.
"Through this event, I hope that many businesses and cooperatives will have more customers and connect with many sales agents in Dong Da district and Hanoi city. At the same time, I request that businesses always ensure the supply of goods to the Hanoi market in sufficient quantity, quality, suitable designs, tastes, and suitable prices, thereby ensuring the maintenance of regular and continuous product connection and consumption activities," emphasized Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen The Hiep.
The week will last until October 6, 2024 at Dong Da Cultural Park, 4 Dang Tien Dong, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
