Improve product quality to bring Vietnamese goods far and wide
Bringing Vietnamese brands to the world is difficult, maintaining the brand is even more difficult. It is a process that requires businesses to constantly innovate, develop, create quality products, and serve the diverse needs of consumers.
Promoting OCOP products and Vietnamese products to Vietnamese consumers.
Participating in the OCOP program is the right direction.
Prioritizing the choice of food, household items, and cosmetics of domestic origin, Ms. Do Thi Thuy (Tay Ho, Hanoi) shared that she pays close attention to products produced by domestic enterprises, because they are not only good in quality and affordable in price, but also contribute to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products".
Especially in recent years, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program with Vietnamese agricultural products and consumer goods has received attention from management agencies and enterprises, who have invested in technology, increased product quality and built 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star brands. This has contributed to raising the level of Vietnamese products.
According to the assessment of enterprises, most products after being granted OCOP stars have higher value and expanded consumption markets. In Soc Son district, Trai Tim Hong Cooperative has 8 products from fine art wooden beads that have been evaluated by the Hanoi People's Committee and granted 3-4 OCOP star certificates. Thanks to the OCOP brand, the cooperative's products are also known by many consumers. Convenient consumption helps increase economic efficiency.
Sales Director of Huong Viet Sinh Company Limited Nguyen Thanh Ha said that the company currently has 18 products that have achieved OCOP certification; providing clean food to more than 100 schools in Hanoi. The company is also planning to export to foreign markets in the near future. Participating in the OCOP Program is the right direction not only for the company but also for most localities, businesses, business households, etc.
Head of the Economic Department of Soc Son District, Hoang Thi Ha, said that the products recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as OCOP are products with quality and economic value, and the sales of the entities have also increased by an average of 10-20%. The OCOP entities in the district are also helping to create jobs for 265 workers, with an average stable income of 5-7 million VND/month.
However, the increasingly demanding requirements of the expanding market, price competition and participation in regional and global value supply chains require domestic production and business establishments to clearly recognize the importance of improving productivity and product quality through implementing solutions to apply national technical standards and regulations, effectively applying science and technology to production and business to promote labor productivity and improve product quality.
Need to promote connection and trade promotion
Vietnamese OCOP products achieve 4-star certification.
Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Bui Nguyen Anh Tuan commented that Vietnamese consumers have formed the habit of choosing and focusing on branded and reputable products. Therefore, building and developing points of introduction and sale of OCOP products, strengthening connections, trade promotion, propaganda, advertising, and widely introducing OCOP products and regional specialties play an important role in bringing goods closer to consumers.
As a long-time companion of the Vietnamese market, Vice President of Central Retail Group in Vietnam Paul Le said that Central Retail is making efforts to support Vietnamese suppliers and businesses, including OCOP entities. Vietnamese businesses need to promote processing, brand building, market research, learning how to sell, etc. Especially, they need to focus on developing potential domestic markets. The high efficiency of building and developing OCOP products in recent times is a good suggestion for Vietnamese production and business establishments.
Acting Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan said that every year, the Department of Industry and Trade regularly coordinates with districts, towns and cities to open OCOP product introduction and sales points throughout the city.
The units managing and operating OCOP points in the city have also prioritized connecting, introducing and promoting OCOP products not only of districts, towns and cities in Hanoi but also expanding connections with localities across the country. Many OCOP products have been connected with nearly 80 OCOP product introduction points in Hanoi; promoted on 600 e-commerce websites to boost exports.
On the other hand, in order to support businesses and cooperatives to promote the consumption of agricultural products, especially during Tet and harvest seasons, the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA) has coordinated to organize fairs and festivals to promote and connect product consumption, build market brands for OCOP products of Hanoi and other provinces and cities to increase product value; promote consumption of Vietnamese goods...
