Honoring 190 enterprises with products achieving Vietnam National Brand in 2024

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, on the evening of November 4, at the National Convention Center, the National Brand Council held the 9th Vietnam National Brand Product Announcement Ceremony, with the theme "Strengthening the Green Era". These are products that meet the criteria of the Vietnam National Brand Program and are typical products representing the Vietnamese Brand.

Attending the ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Party Central Committee members: Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council; Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association...

Also attending were representatives of leaders of central ministries, departments and branches, local leaders and representatives of 190 enterprises with products achieving the Vietnam National Brand in 2024.

Affirming the capacity, intelligence, courage, flexibility and creativity of Vietnamese enterprises

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that building and developing the Vietnamese national brand is a task of special importance and strategic significance, a mission of all of us with perseverance, effort and unceasing creativity; in which building national product brands is one of the core contents.

The Prime Minister was delighted to attend the 9th Vietnam National Brand Product Announcement Ceremony with the theme: "Strengthening the Green Era" - an important event to honor quality and reputable product and service brands.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated and congratulated the efforts and continuous contributions of the Vietnamese business community and enterprises, especially the 190 enterprises whose products achieved the National Brand in 2024.

Over the past 20 years, the National Brand Program has increasingly affirmed itself as one of the prestigious and quality programs. The number of enterprises with products achieving the National Brand has continuously increased over the years, from 30 enterprises in 2008 to 190 enterprises in 2024.

The program not only affirms the quality of products and services produced in Vietnam, but also affirms the capacity, intelligence, bravery, flexibility and creativity of Vietnamese enterprises, contributing to building a solid position in the domestic market and highlighting the two words "Vietnam" in the international market; affirming the great contribution of Vietnamese enterprises in the process of building the National Brand" - the Prime Minister assessed.

However, the Prime Minister also noted that a brand is not only an affirmation of product quality, but also a commitment to sustainable development to "Reach into the Green Era". Enterprises achieving National Brands in particular and the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs in general need to continue to promote core values: Quality - Innovation - Creativity - Pioneering capacity. 

In the coming time, enterprises need to focus on implementing well 6 key tasks and solutions. Specifically, enterprises must constantly exploit opportunities from the trend of green growth and sustainable development; pioneer in the green revolution; take advantage of the prestige of the National Brand, and at the same time combine building product brands with the Vietnam National Brand; actively seek and expand international markets and participate more deeply in global supply chains. The beautiful image of each National Brand will be a beautiful image of the brand of the country, traditions, culture and people of Vietnam, especially in the context of the world promoting commitments on emission reduction and combating climate change, enterprises need to proactively switch to green production models, using renewable energy and environmentally friendly technology.

In addition, businesses are constantly improving their modern management capacity; applying advanced, transparent and healthy management standards; focusing on sustainability in production. At the same time, promoting digital transformation and green transformation; proactively innovating production and business models, restructuring enterprises associated with the development of green economy, digital economy, and circular economy. Thereby, contributing to enhancing brand reputation, creating strong trust in product and service quality for consumers.

The Prime Minister also pointed out: Enterprises must constantly innovate, create, develop, and apply science and technology to improve labor productivity and business efficiency; proactively and effectively integrate, especially in the context of the digital age and the Fourth Industrial Revolution; apply advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and automation in production to minimize negative impacts on the environment, and proactively enter the green era.

In addition, continue to cultivate political and professional qualities; comply with legal regulations; be proactive and take the lead on the socio-economic development front; have great ambitions and aspirations for development, become a model of entrepreneurial spirit, honest, humane and responsible business. At the same time, further strengthen information and communication; protect copyright and brand value.

Enterprises also need to focus on training high-quality human resources with good skills, deep expertise, international qualifications and professional work, promptly serving the requirements of production and business development; promoting the application of science and technology, innovation, and integration in all fields; continuing to strengthen the connection of the network of Vietnamese talents and intellectuals at home and abroad...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the success of entrepreneurs and businesses is also the success of the country, contributing to building the image of Vietnam as a green, creative and powerful developing country on the world map, marking the era of Vietnam's rise in the new era.

The Vietnamese business community, with the core being enterprises with products achieving the National Brand, needs to continue to join hands, unite, and strive to compete towards the goal of turning our country into a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045 as set out by the 13th National Party Congress. Each businessperson should demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride, and the desire to rise up through concrete actions, together bringing the country into a new stage of development, catching up with trends, and preparing a mindset ready to enter a new era, which is the era of rising up of the Vietnamese people ,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested.

Also at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien - Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council - emphasized: The Vietnam National Brand Program is a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program of the Government, implemented since 2003, with the goal of promoting the development of the national brand through supporting businesses to build and develop strong brands in the market, thereby promoting the image of Vietnam as a country with a developed manufacturing industry, with many high-quality goods and services, contributing to improving national competitiveness, raising the position of Vietnamese brands in the domestic and international markets.

After more than 20 years of implementation, with the close and consistent leadership and direction of the Party and State leaders; the active and effective participation of the Central Committees, ministries, branches, and organizations, and localities; the proactiveness and outstanding efforts of the business community with the aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam, the Vietnam National Brand Program has achieved many positive results, attracting special attention from the business community and domestic and foreign consumers, becoming a solid launching pad, helping Vietnamese enterprises to rise up, creating new values ​​and strengths for the country.

Through the Program, many Vietnamese corporations and enterprises have realized the role and importance of brands - considered as the "key" to increase product value, business value, ensuring sustainable development, especially in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, green transformation taking place strongly and being an inevitable trend on a global scale; thereby, paying more attention to building, developing and managing brands, contributing to improving competitiveness, affirming the position of enterprises in domestic and foreign markets.

Enterprises with products achieving the National Brand have continuously increased through the selection periods and affirmed their pioneering role, creating a spillover effect, leading other enterprises to develop together; at the same time, they are at the forefront in fulfilling their obligations to the State, creating jobs for workers and ensuring social security; making important contributions to increasing the value of the national brand, bringing Vietnam into the group of countries with strong brands in the region and the world” - Minister Nguyen Hong Dien assessed.

According to the Minister, the selection, recognition and organization of the Ceremony to announce enterprises and products achieving Vietnam National Brand are carried out regularly every two years, to encourage enterprises to share and pursue the core values ​​of the Program; at the same time, to recognize and honor enterprises and products with the leading prestige and quality in the country.

The selection process was carried out strictly, objectively, and transparently in accordance with approved procedures and regulations. After 9 months of reviewing and carefully assessing the profiles of over 1,000 registered enterprises, the National Brand Council unanimously selected and recognized 190 enterprises with 359 products that were qualified to achieve the Vietnam National Brand (an increase of 18 enterprises and 34 products compared to the previous selection period), the highest ever.

This result not only affirms the maturity and competitiveness of domestic enterprises, but also demonstrates the efforts, creativity, continuous innovation and pioneering capacity of the Vietnamese business community, contributing to the whole country entering a new era - the era of national growth ” - Minister Nguyen Hong Dien affirmed.

Congratulating the 190 enterprises recognized as National Brands this year, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said that this is an honor not only for the honored enterprises, but also a common joy and pride for the entire Vietnamese business community, because this is a symbol of creativity and the unceasing commitment of enterprises in building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

“We recommend that the Vietnamese business community in general, and enterprises achieving the National Brand in particular, continue to make more efforts in building, consolidating and developing brands according to the core values ​​of “Quality - Innovation, creativity - Pioneering capacity” so that more and more enterprises and products achieve the National Brand, contributing to affirming the position of Vietnamese enterprises in the market and effectively exploiting the Free Trade Agreements of which our country is a member in order to expand and diversify markets, export products and participate more and more deeply in the global production and supply chain” - Minister Nguyen Hong Dien suggested.
