International Workshop Promotes Vietnamese Goods Export through Cross-border E-commerce
An international workshop themed "Promoting the export of Vietnamese goods to international markets through the cross-border e-commerce system" was held successfully in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the attention of more than 200 Vietnamese and regional businesses.
The workshop was chaired by the Department of European - American Markets (Ministry of Industry and Trade) on June 7th, as part of the "Connecting the International Goods Supply Chain 2024" (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024) series of events.
E-commerce - A Golden Opportunity for Exports
The workshop aimed to help Vietnamese businesses grasp the potential and opportunities of e-commerce, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to bring Vietnamese products to the global market through cross-border e-commerce.
Experts and speakers from Amazon Global Selling shared valuable knowledge and experience on cross-border e-commerce, helping businesses better understand global consumer trends, how to build brands, and conduct business effectively on international e-commerce platforms.

Vietnam's E-commerce Grows Strongly
The 2023 E-commerce Report by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy showed that retail e-commerce revenue in Vietnam increased by 25% compared to 2022, reaching 20.5 billion USD. Vietnam is currently among the top 10 countries with the highest e-commerce growth rate in the world.
Amazon: A Launchpad for Vietnamese Goods
According to statistics from Amazon Global Selling, the number of products sold by Vietnamese businesses on Amazon has increased by more than 300% in the past 5 years. Thousands of Vietnamese businesses, including many small and medium-sized enterprises, are exporting through Amazon. The number of businesses achieving annual revenue of over 1 million USD has increased nearly 10 times.
Connecting with Over 2 Billion Consumers
Through the Amazon platform, Vietnamese goods have the opportunity to reach over 2 billion consumers online each year in markets such as North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, Singapore, and India.
The international workshop "Promoting the export of Vietnamese goods to international markets through the cross-border e-commerce system" has made an important contribution to raising awareness among Vietnamese businesses about the potential of cross-border e-commerce while equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the international market.
