Not only creating favorable conditions for businesses in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee also arranged booths for businesses and cooperatives from provinces and cities across the country…; thereby, contributing to supporting and removing difficulties in consuming agricultural products and Vietnamese products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen The Hiep said that this event is part of a series of activities to implement Plan No. 632/KH-SCT of the Department of Industry and Trade on implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in Hanoi in 2024.

Through the program, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade creates opportunities for businesses to promote and introduce product brands, organize trade promotion activities, connect product consumption, stimulate consumption, and bring Vietnamese goods to people and tourists in the city.

On the other hand, consumers have more opportunities to access, shop and consume quality products produced by Vietnamese enterprises.

Director of Van Long International Import-Export Investment Company Limited (Ha Giang province) Nguyen Xuan Thanh said that the company wants to promote Ha Giang Shan Tuyet tea products to consumers. Through programs such as Vietnamese Goods Week, local agricultural products have had the opportunity to reach Hanoi consumers, thereby opening direct distribution channels in the capital market.

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade also requires units participating in the Hanoi Vietnamese Goods Week to fully prepare goods, ensure quality, have clear origin, reasonable prices, attractive promotions, and absolutely not trade in fake, counterfeit, or poor quality goods to protect the rights of consumers and the interests of businesses.

Specifically, in the first 8 months of 2024, the total sales and revenue of consumer services reached 2,724.6 trillion VND, up 11.7% over the same period last year, of which commercial revenue reached 2,197 trillion VND, accounting for 80.6% of the total and up 11.5%.
