Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Director General of the European - American Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), said the event is taking place in the context of Vietnam's strong economic development. Export turnover in the first quarter of 2024 saw impressive growth, reaching 93.06 billion USD, an increase of 17% over the same period last year.

"Vietnam International Sourcing 2024" is an effort by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to support Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in the global supply chain and adapt to the trend of international economic integration.

The event will see the participation of 300 international purchasing delegations from 30 countries and territories, including many large corporations such as Aeon, Uniqlo, Walmart, Amazon, and Carrefour. International businesses will have the opportunity to meet and work directly with Vietnamese suppliers, explore potential, and expand cooperation.

In addition to trade connection activities, "Vietnam International Sourcing 2024" also supports Vietnamese businesses in enhancing their competitiveness and developing sustainably through specialized seminars, field surveys, and networking activities before, during, and after the exhibition.

Mr. Paul Le, Vice President of Central Retail Group, highly appreciated the role of the event in sourcing goods in Vietnam. Currently, 95% of the products in Central Retail's supermarket system in Vietnam are Vietnamese goods, and the group is looking to find more potential products.

"Vietnam International Sourcing 2024" is expected to promote exports, expand markets, and enhance the position of Vietnamese goods in the international market.
