21/10/2024

Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 is attracting special attention from international hypermarkets, retail distributors, and buying delegations with diverse demands for Vietnam's 5 key product groups.

The "Connecting the International Goods Supply Chain" event (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024), jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, is expected to take place from June 6th to 8th at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

According to the organizers, the attraction of Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 has surpassed that of 2023, attracting a large number of representatives from major distributors and purchasing companies from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, China, and many other countries. The event is expected to welcome 10,000 visitors for trade and exchange, with 300 international delegations from 30 countries and territories.

This year, in addition to the "popular" food group, international buyers are particularly interested in textiles and fashion accessories; footwear, backpacks, and handbags; sports equipment and apparel; and household goods and furniture.

Many global retail giants have confirmed their participation in the event, including Aeon, Uniqlo (Japan), Walmart, Amazon, Safeway (USA), Carrefour, Decathlon (France), Falabella (Chile), Coppel (Mexico), Central Group (Thailand), Lotte (South Korea), IKEA (Sweden), and LuLu (UAE).

Notably, Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 also attracts the attention of mid-level buyers from specialized supermarkets, convenience stores, and supermarket chains serving Asians in new markets such as South America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

The strong growth trend of Vietnam's textile and footwear industry is also a bright spot attracting international buyers. According to statistics, Vietnam's textile and footwear exports in the first quarter of 2024 both experienced double-digit growth compared to the same period last year.

Vietnamese businesses in the fields of sports equipment and apparel, household goods, and furniture also have many opportunities to cooperate with international partners through this event.

With a scale of 10,000m2, Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024 brings together 500 Vietnamese businesses representing various sectors in the international supply chain. The event is expected to boost exports, help Vietnamese businesses expand their markets, and enhance their competitiveness in the international arena.
