TH true MILK Enhances Value Chain Transparency in Engaging International Buyers
At Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 (VIS 2025), TH Group (TH true MILK) welcomed dozens of international buyers through B2B matchmaking activities and on-site product showcases at its exhibition booth.
The event series “Connecting the International Goods Supply Chain – Vietnam International Sourcing 2025” officially opened on 4 September in Ho Chi Minh City and ran through 6 September. VIS 2025 attracted more than 300 buyer delegations from 60 countries and territories, including leading global retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, IKEA, and H&M.
Enhancing Supply Chain Transparency through Traceability Technology
Regarding the needs of international buyer delegations at this year’s event, Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Director General of the Foreign Market Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), observed:
“International buyers today are not only seeking competitively priced products; they are increasingly concerned with long-term supply capacity, reliability, and value-chain transparency. This presents an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to reposition their role within global distribution networks.”
On the supply side, TH Group—a leading enterprise in the food and beverage sector—has accompanied the Vietnam International Sourcing series for several consecutive years. This demonstrates the pioneering role and sense of responsibility of a flagship enterprise in partnering with Government-led trade promotion and business matchmaking programmes to bring Vietnamese products and brands to global markets.
At Vietnam International Sourcing 2025, TH Group presented more than 200 products to international buyers, including fresh milk, beverages, and clean food products made entirely from natural ingredients sourced in Vietnam. Confident in the quality of its products, TH Group introduced buyers to its latest product traceability technology, NDA Trace, integrated across TH products.
According to Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy, Director of International Business at TH Group, NDA Trace is a product traceability solution developed by the National Data Association. Under this system, each batch of TH products is assigned a unique identifier, with every stage of creation and circulation within the supply chain recorded and authenticated—tamper-proof and non-editable. The technology complies with international GS1 standards and is compatible with global authentication and traceability systems, including EBSI Trace 4EU, thereby providing comprehensive support for enterprises in cross-border supply chain integration.
“Traceability technology serves as a guarantee for TH Group’s products when participating in global supply chains. Wherever they are, consumers can scan the code to easily verify every stage—from raw materials, production, quality inspection, packaging, warehousing, transportation, to retail. When we introduced this capability, international buyers were genuinely surprised, as very few companies worldwide can achieve this level of transparency. We believe this is a key advantage for TH in accessing global supply chains,” Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy noted.
Positioning Export Brands as “Made in Vietnam”
TH Group reported a fully booked schedule of B2B meetings throughout all three days of Vietnam International Sourcing 2025, including meetings with global supply chains such as Walmart, Renso Foods, and LuLu Group.
International buyers’ demand trends were clearly focused on several factors, including long shelf life to ensure efficient transportation, as well as reduced- or no-sugar products in line with global healthy consumption preferences. TH Group currently offers more than 200 products catering to diverse customer needs, including trend-leading reduced-sugar offerings such as TH true NUT nut milk products sweetened naturally with dates, and TH true RICE roasted rice drinks made without refined sugar.
In previous years, major global supply chains often raised the possibility of private-label (OEM) production or formula adjustments to suit local consumer tastes. However, TH Group has consistently pursued the strategy of exporting internationally standardized products under a Vietnamese brand—“made in Vietnam” and produced to global quality standards in Vietnam itself.
At Vietnam International Sourcing 2025, Walmart’s B2B programme was structured around two objectives: identifying OEM partners for private-label production, and sourcing branded Vietnamese products for placement on Walmart’s global shelves. “Walmart proactively registered for B2B meetings with us under the second option, which means they have confidence that TH’s brand positioning meets quality standards in the demanding markets where Walmart operates. Regarding product formulation adjustments, we are proud that the products we introduce internationally are entirely natural in origin. Therefore, no formula changes are required—only local-language labelling to inform consumers,” Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy explained.
With more than 10,000 stores worldwide, even the successful entry of a limited number of Vietnamese product lines into Walmart’s supply chain could result in contract values reaching hundreds of millions of USD.
Export Potential in New Markets
Beyond engagements with international buyers, TH Group also welcomed trade counsellor delegations from numerous countries and territories, including Hungary, Malaysia, and Singapore. Several emerging and high-potential markets—such as Canada, Belgium, Ukraine, India, the UAE, and Africa—showed strong interest, with high prospects for deal closures despite first-time B2B connections. Notably, TH true TEA natural fruit tea products made from familiar Vietnamese agricultural ingredients such as calamansi and lychee attracted buyers from India.
Meanwhile, a buyer from Hungary—already distributing TH products such as UHT drinking yoghurt, UHT fresh milk, and TH true FOOD items including Vietnamese pork sausage and smoked bacon via a trading intermediary—used this opportunity to establish direct connections with TH Group, aiming to expand distribution in Hungary and other European markets.
Currently, TH Group exports through official channels to markets with stringent standards, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, China, and the Asia–Pacific region. Through trade promotion and matchmaking activities such as Vietnam International Sourcing 2025, TH Group continues to scale up export volumes in traditional markets while partnering with importers and distributors to promote Vietnamese brands through modern global retail channels.
