Ho Chi Minh City to Host Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025: A Key Driver for Export Market Expansion

22/10/2025

Following two successful editions, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, will continue organizing the “Viet Nam International Sourcing – Connecting Global Supply Chains” series from 4–6 September 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). The event serves as a flagship platform to help Vietnamese enterprises deepen integration into global supply chains and expand access to overseas distribution networks amid heightened global economic uncertainties.

According to the Foreign Market Development Agency (MOIT), Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025 remains a major solution contributing to the implementation of the Government-approved Scheme on “Promoting Vietnamese enterprises’ direct participation in foreign distribution networks by 2030.” The event provides an effective channel for both broadening export markets and strengthening the presence of Vietnamese products in international retail systems.

Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Director General of the Foreign Market Development Agency, emphasized that the continued return of leading global retailers over the past three editions demonstrates Viet Nam’s growing role as a major manufacturing center capable of supplying a diverse, competitively priced, and increasingly high-quality range of products to the world market.

Largest Edition to Date

This year’s event is expected to welcome over 300 purchasing delegations from approximately 60 countries and territories, supported by more than 60 Viet Nam Trade Offices operating worldwide. The strong participation underscores the rising interest of international buyers in sourcing from Viet Nam, particularly as businesses seek to diversify supply chains beyond traditional markets.

The exhibition area will showcase more than 12,000 products across 500 booths from over 400 Vietnamese enterprises. Four major product categories will be featured:

  • agricultural products, processed foods, and beverages;

  • textiles, footwear, furniture, and home décor;

  • consumer industrial goods and packaging;

  • supporting industries and personal electronics.

Throughout the three-day event, thousands of direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings will be arranged through the organizers’ scheduling system. The program anticipates around 3,000 direct B2B interactions between Vietnamese exporters and international retailers, procurement teams, and importers.

A Hub for Market Intelligence and Regulatory Updates

Beyond commercial networking, the event will also include a comprehensive series of conferences and specialized seminars. These sessions will provide participating firms with insights into consumer trends, new technical requirements, and regulatory changes in key export markets. At the same time, foreign buyers and distribution groups will have opportunities to assess the production capacity, development orientation, and supply potential of various Vietnamese industries.

To enhance engagement, the organizers plan to arrange field trips for international delegations, enabling visits to local factories, production zones, and raw-material areas for a more in-depth understanding of Vietnamese supply capabilities.

Supporting Viet Nam’s Strategy for Market Diversification

In a global landscape marked by supply chain fluctuations, Viet Nam continues to pursue a strategy of diversifying export markets, product structures, and distribution channels in order to mitigate risks and maintain sustainable growth. Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025, together with the Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum, is expected to further strengthen Viet Nam’s connections with major international distribution systems while improving the competitiveness and export readiness of domestic enterprises.
