With an import demand of nearly 1,500 billion USD, the Latin American market is becoming an attractive destination for Vietnamese goods, especially fashion, furniture, and frozen food.
The event "Connecting the International Goods Supply Chain - Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024" is attracting the attention of many leading retailers in Latin America. They come to Vietnam with the desire to find diverse and stable sources of supply.
Latin American Retail Giants Seek Out Vietnam
Falabella, the largest retailer in Latin America with 577 stores, is looking for Vietnamese suppliers in the fields of textiles, footwear, sportswear, and home appliances. Last year, Falabella partnered with several Vietnamese businesses to import apparel and sports equipment.
Coppel Group (Mexico) also expressed interest in Vietnamese products such as clothing, footwear, technology accessories, and furniture. Coppel has an annual import demand of 500,000 car tires.

Opportunities for Many Product Lines
Latiquim C.A, Venezuela's leading chemical company, is seeking Vietnamese partners in the production of sulfonic acid and phosphoric acid. Walmart also plans to increase its purchases of textiles, footwear, furniture, toys, and frozen food from Vietnam.

Latin America is a potential market with 33 countries and a population of over 670 million people. Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Latin America has increased by 1.5 times in the past 5 years. The two sides have complementary import and export commodity structures.
