300 International Buying Delegations to Strengthen Sourcing Activities in Viet Nam

28/10/2025

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025 exhibition is scheduled to take place from 4–6 September 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event is expected to gather around 500 exhibiting enterprises and 300 international buying delegations, marking one of the largest sourcing-focused trade events in the country.

This year’s edition will concentrate on key sectors including food and beverages, consumer goods, furniture, fashion and textiles, materials and accessories, and supporting industries. In addition to the exhibition floor, the programme features a wide range of business-connection activities such as thematic seminars, B2B meetings, factory and industrial park field trips, and specialized sessions on EU market access requirements, green transition, logistics optimization, and brand development.

With its comprehensive structure, Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025 aims not only to facilitate trade linkages but also to provide a platform for professional exchange and updates on global supply chain trends. The event plays an important role in helping Vietnamese companies strengthen their competitiveness and meet the increasingly stringent expectations of international buyers.

Expanded Nordic Delegation – H&M Sends High-Level Sourcing Team for the First Time

The Viet Nam Trade Office in Sweden has confirmed that the Nordic business delegation will participate on an expanded scale this year, bringing together prominent corporations in retail, fast-moving consumer goods, logistics, and sustainable manufacturing.

Among them, H&M stands out as a key participant, sending a high-level sourcing delegation to Viet Nam for the first time to explore opportunities with Vietnamese suppliers in textiles, fashion, and materials. Recent discussions between Ambassador Trần Văn Tuấn, the Trade Counsellor in Sweden, and H&M highlight a growing interest among global brands in strengthening sourcing networks in Viet Nam, particularly in the context of ongoing shifts in global supply chains.

Viet Nam’s Emerging Position in Global Supply Chain Reconfiguration

The increasing presence of multinational corporations directly seeking suppliers in Viet Nam underscores the country’s rising attractiveness as a sourcing destination. The event offers domestic enterprises a valuable opportunity to engage with strategic buyers, deepen their understanding of specific market standards, and enhance their readiness to integrate into global value chains.

In previous editions, notably in 2023 and 2024, major international brands such as IKEA, F&H, Gothenburg Port, and Scanesia visited Viet Nam under the framework of Viet Nam International Sourcing to conduct market and factory assessments. Their continued interest—along with the expanded participation expected in 2025—signals strong confidence in Viet Nam’s production capabilities, business environment, and long-term cooperation potential.
