On the afternoon of July 24, the European - American Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) revealed the "giants" that will attend the event "Connecting international goods supply chains" held in Ho Chi Minh City on September.

The series of supply chain connection events with the international name "Viet Nam International Sourcing 2023" takes place from September 13 - 15 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City.



Specifically, the European - American Market Department said it worked with Walmart (USA) and learned that this world's leading retail group is very interested in businesses making Vietnamese export goods. Walmart representatives will be led by Mr. Avineesh Gupta - Executive Vice President in charge of sourcing textiles, garments and fast-moving consumer goods - to attend the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023 event series.

The 6 areas that Walmart hopes to find partners through this series of events include: clothing and accessories; Footwear; Electronic Appliances; furniture; food and consumer goods.

In addition to Walmart, the event organizers said there will be many "giants" in the world's largest retail industry such as retail groups from Japan such as Aeon and Uniqlo; Amazon and AES come from the US; Carrefour and Decathlon from France; Central Group from Thailand; Coppel from Mexico…

In addition, the event also had the presence of about 150 international purchasing delegations from 30 countries and territories coming to Vietnam to look for purchasing partners in many fields such as food, textiles, shoes, backpacks, bags, sporting and outdoor goods; household appliances and furniture; supporting industry...

In particular, the series of events recorded the "unprecedented" participation of more than 60 Trade Offices/branches of the Vietnam Trade Office abroad, through event promotion activities in the host country to create a spillover effect. to importers, distribution channels, and foreign business associations.
