Vietnamese Goods Welcome U.S. Importers at VIS 2025
Despite continued volatility in global trade, many U.S. companies are choosing Ho Chi Minh City as a key sourcing destination in Viet Nam.
According to the Foreign Market Development Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a large number of U.S. enterprises have confirmed they will travel to Ho Chi Minh City to source products directly at Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025 (VIS 2025), taking place from 4–6 September.
The trend signals a shift toward direct sourcing from Vietnamese manufacturers, allowing U.S. companies to shorten logistics chains, reduce costs and increase supply chain autonomy.
With strong technological, financial and managerial capacity from U.S. states—and Viet Nam’s advantages in market potential and a high-quality workforce—VIS 2025 is expected to become a launchpad for strategic trade and investment partnerships.
VIS 2025 is set to welcome the largest-ever delegation of importers, distributors and logistics providers from Texas, including L&V Food Supply, C&T Produce Wholesale, Ca Mau Supermarket, Port Houston, and MIB – Morris International Beverage, among others. This delegation is seeking Vietnamese products across a wide range of sectors: electromechanics, machinery, textiles, chemicals and plastics, footwear, food and beverages, handicrafts and furniture.
The presence of Port Houston highlights strong interest in optimizing transportation routes and establishing more efficient entry points into distribution systems across the U.S. South.
The core focus for U.S. buyers at VIS 2025 is direct, on-site collaboration with Vietnamese suppliers: exchanging catalogues, technical specifications, traceability requirements, ESG standards, delivery schedules and sustainable sourcing plans. With advantages in pricing, quality, flexibility and improved compliance capacity, Vietnamese businesses have greater opportunities to gain shelf placement through the distribution networks and logistics systems operated by U.S. firms present at VIS 2025.
The state of Oregon has also confirmed it will send a business delegation representing agriculture, food, technology, outdoor apparel and logistics. Their agenda includes aligning technical requirements, quality standards and supply models, as well as conducting site visits to factories and industrial zones. In addition to a busy schedule in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, the Oregon delegation aims to develop MOUs and concrete cooperation immediately after the event.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects numerous agreements and commercial transactions to be successfully concluded during VIS 2025. Participating enterprises will gain access to new partners, customers and business ideas through conferences and trade-promotion activities, contributing to expanding Vietnamese products across global markets.
