Foreign supermarkets want to source quality goods from Vietnam

A series of hypermarkets and foreign retail distributors are making shopping lists for food, textiles, shoes, backpacks, handbags, sports and outdoor goods, household appliances and furniture…from Vietnamese suppliers at the event "Viet Nam International Sourcing 2023".

The European - American Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that the series of events "Connecting the international supply chain of goods" (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2023), takes place in Ho Chi Minh City from the 13th to the 15th. September 2023 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

This is an activity to actively implement the Project "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution networks by 2030" approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. November 14, 2022.

The series of events includes conferences, seminars, trade connection activities and exhibitions connecting the international supply chain of goods - Viet Nam International Sourcing Expo 2023. Exhibition with a scale of 8,000 m2 for 300 businesses, representing different sectors in the international supply chain.

Attending Viet Nam International Sourcing 2023 are carefully selected businesses that have achieved international certifications, have high quality products in industries where Vietnam has strengths and international distributors and retailers. There are needs such as: products, textiles, shoes, backpacks, bags, sports and outdoor goods, household appliances and furniture, supporting industries...

The event promises to attract 8,000 visitors and transactions with 150 international delegations from 30 countries and territories. The organizing committee also coordinated with localities to send purchasing teams to survey businesses in some localities.

To date, more than 60 Trade Offices/branches of the Vietnam Trade Office abroad have participated to promote the event with importers, distribution channels, and foreign business associations.

This year's event also recorded great participation from large corporations in the world such as: Aeon, Uniqlo (Japan); Walmart, Amazon, Boeing, AES (USA), Carrefour, Decathlon (France); Central Group (Thailand); Coppel (Mexico)…
