Export promotion through foreign distributors

On the afternoon of August 11, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a seminar to promote the export of Vietnam's textile, garment, agricultural and processed food industries.

The event is part of the project "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution networks until 2030" approved by the Prime Minister. More than 60 Trade Offices and branches of the Vietnam Trade Office abroad have directly listened and advised Vietnamese businesses and industry associations on trade promotion.

Vietnam's pepper and spice industry this year exported nearly 330 thousand tons, with an export turnover of more than 710 million USD. Although the export scale is quite positive, this industry is only processing for small retailers around the world, not reaching retail "giants" such as Amazon, Costco or Walmart.

As for the textile industry, the challenge of accessing partners is also a big barrier. "Large wholesale and retail distribution channels all have their own chains, so participating in the chain and competing with partner suppliers is also part of this challenge," Mr. Pham Tung Linh - Deputy General Director said.
