Amending guidance on certification of aromatic rice varieties for export to the European Union
The Government has just issued Decree No. 11⁄2022⁄ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 103⁄2020⁄ND-CP on certification of aromatic rice varieties exported to the European Union to guide the implementation of certification of aromatic rice varieties for export to the European Union and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The Government has just issued Decree No. 11⁄2022⁄ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 103⁄2020⁄ND-CP on certification of aromatic rice varieties exported to the European Union to guide the implementation of certification of aromatic rice varieties for export to the European Union and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Accordingly, Decree 11 amends and supplements "Scope of regulation" as follows: This Decree stipulates the certification of fragrant rice varieties on the List specified at Point 8 subsection 1 Section B Appendix 2-A of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union (abbreviated as the EVFTA Agreement) are entitled to quota-based import tax exemption when exporting to the European Union within the framework of the EVFTA Agreement and exporting to the EU. United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) within the framework of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (abbreviated as the UKVFTA).
Decree 11 amends the regulations on "Documents of application for certification of aromatic rice varieties" as follows: The form of re-certification of aromatic rice varieties shall be fully declared from items 1 to 9 according to the form specified in Appendix II. Appendix VII promulgated together with Decree No. 103/2020/ND-CP for aromatic rice exported to the EU or Appendix VIIa issued together with this Decree for fragrant rice exported to the UK.
